The Football Association of Wales has today released the following statement. 

Consequently, the Cymru Premier, Cymru North and Cymru South and the Welsh Premier Women's League will be suspended in accordance with these guidelines.

The FAW has outlined that the International Challenge Match  between Wales 'C' and England 'C' scheduled for March 24th 2020 has also been postponed.  

"The Football Association of Wales has today (13 March) taken the decision to suspend domestic football at all levels in Wales with immediate effect until 4 April due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"The intention at this time will be to resume the football schedule depending on the medical advice and conditions from the relevant authorities at that time.  

"The FAW is fully aware of the impact this will have on the domestic game but the health and safety of all fans, players, volunteers and stakeholders are of paramount importance.

"The FAW will continue to monitor this situation on a day-by-day basis and will continue to provide updates when appropriate."

FAW Board decision on promotion and relegation

Following the previous decision to curtail the 2019/2020 domestic football season in Wales using a points per game method, the FAW Board of Directors met remotely today (16 June) to consider the recommendation of the FAW National Leagues Board and other possible options with regard to promotion and relegation throughout the National Leagues.
