Prestatyn Town moved ten points clear at the top of the JD Cymru North after a 2-1 win away at Colwyn Bay to start 2020.

Michael Parker's second minute header got the Seasiders off to a flying start, and Jack Higgins doubled their lead on 23' slotting home after good work down the right from Jordan Davies.

Alex Downes pulled one back for Bay with nine minutes remaining, but the visitors held on to kick off the new year in winning fashion.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant moved into third in the table as they beat Rhyl 5-3 in a remarkable game at the Educate Group Stadium.

The home side had gone into the break 3-0 up, thanks to two goals from Cai Owen and one from Tom Creamer. The visitors however hit back after the restart, with Matthew Williams getting a hat trick and Gary Meredith-Thompson and Iwan Matthews also getting on the scoresheet as they scored five times to stun the Lilywhites.

Corwen regiestered only their third win of the season as they beat Llanfair United 3-0 at the War Memorial Park.

First half goals from Tom Mann and Dale Davies set the home side on their way to victory, Owen Cordiner adding the third in the final minute to seal the three points.

Conwy Borough left it late to salvage a point from their derby clash with Llandudno at Y Morfa, Liam Morris's 89th minute strike sealing a 3-3 draw which saw the Tangerines come from behind twice.

Three goals in the opening half hour, including an Adam Davies double, helped Guilsfield to a 3-1 win over Penrhyncoch, whilst Llangefni Town registered their first league win in six league games with a 3-0 win away at Buckley Town.
