The National League Board (NLB) yesterday (1st March 2021) agreed to curtail the 2020/21 season of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

The decision has been taken as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has resulted in a condensed playing calendar for the remainder of the 2020/21 season for all JD Cymru Leagues clubs.

In addition, the NLB took into consideration the logistical difficulties as a result of the JD Cymru South & North yet to have its ‘Elite Status’ reinstated by the National Sports Group. It was, therefore, felt that there is insufficient time to complete the competition before the end of the current season.

The JD Cymru Premier had its ‘Elite Status’ reinstated by the National Sports Group last week, however Tier 2 remains unable to play at this moment in time.
