Llanelli Town remain top of the JD Cymru South table following a convincing 3-0 away win at title rivals Afan Lido on Friday night.

Just two points separated the clubs before the game, but a brace from the in-form Ethan Cann and one from Louis Gerrard earned victory for Lee John’s side. A late red card for Ben Keen compounded Afan Lido’s woes.

Second-place Briton Ferry Llansawel remain level on points with Llanelli after an emphatic 5-0 victory against Llantwit Major at Old Road.

The Reds were three goals ahead inside 24 minutes as Luke Bowen, Josh Bull and Luis Bates all found the net before Bull added another on the hour mark and substitute Jasper Payne completed the scoring in the last 10 minutes.

Lewis Reed scored a hat-trick as Ammanford staged a late comeback to triumph 4-3 over Cwmbran Celtic at The Rec.

Gruff Harrison’s side twice led in the first half before being pegged back, while Alex Bonthron’s second goal of the game put Celtic 3-2 ahead shortly after the hour mark. However, Tristan Jenkins equalised in the 84thminute, before Reed won the game four minutes later by completing his treble.

Fourth-place Carmarthen Town won for the first time in three league matches by triumphing 1-0 away at Goytre United. The decisive moment came in the 72nd minute when Jordan Vickers’ cross deflected off Goytre goalkeeper Luke Jones into the net.

Cambrian & Clydach ended their five-match winless streak in the JD Cymru South by earning a 2-0 victory on home turf against Baglan Dragons. Kyle Jones and Taylor Jones netted either side of half-time as the Cam Army climbed up to seventh place.

Pontardawe Town came from behind to win 2-1 away at struggling Abergavenny Town. The Pennies led after just two minutes when Rhys Schwank converted a penalty, but Joe Lloyd levelled the contest in the 15thminute before scoring the winner on the hour mark.

Taffs Well made it three consecutive wins and rose to eighth in the league table by beating Abertillery Bluebirds 2-1. Following a goalless first half, strikes from Cam Gauchi and Ben Parry put the Wellmen in control before Kyle Williams netted a consolation for the visitors deep into stoppage time.

Caerau Ely ended a three-match losing streak in the JD Cymru South with a 2-0 home win over Trefelin. Lathan Garrett headed the Young Guns in front in the 14th minute, while an own goal from Callum Jones doubled their advantage early in the second half.
