Aberystwyth Town claimed a vital 2-1 win over 10-man Caernarfon Town in front of the Sgorio cameras at Park Avenue to move out of the JD Cymru Premier relegation zone.
Harry Arnison and Niall Flint got on the scoresheet for the Seasiders and despite Rhys Williams pulling one back late on for the Cofis, it wasn’t enough to mount a dramatic comeback after Joe Faux’s sending off.
Cardiff Met University continued their impressive campaign so far, earning a 3-1 win over Airbus UK Broughton to end phase one on a nine-match unbeaten streak.
Harry Owen gave the Archers the lead in the first half, before Eliot Evans doubled the advantage shortly after half-time. Adam Davies got the Wingmakers back into the game with a clever free-kick, but Chris Craven made sure of the three points with an emphatic strike.
Finally, there was a convincing win for Flint Town United, who put four goals past Pontypridd United at the Essity Stadium.
It was a dream debut for Zack Clarke, on loan from Chester, as the 19-year-old netted a hat-trick alongside Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro’s goal to secure the Silkmen’s first win in 2023.
