Holywell Town’s JD Cymru North winning streak was extended to 22 games in a comfortable victory away to Penrhyncoch on Saturday afternoon.

Defender Jake Cooke scored his second hattrick of the season in the space of just eight minutes in the first half, before one each for Dave Forbes and Aidan Farren as the Wellmen cut the gap to league leaders Colwyn Bay to nine points. The two clubs meet this weekend.

Meanwhile, Mold Alexandra extended their unbeaten run in the JD Cymru North to five games as they defeated Holyhead Hotspur.

A Danny Warren brace either side of Haci Ozlu’s finish gave Mold a three-goal advantage, while a Dylan Summers-Jones goal wasn’t enough to inspire a Holyhead comeback.

In the JD Cymru South, Afan Lido bounced back from their defeat to Llanelli Town with a convincing 3-1 victory at Swansea University on Friday. Despite Swans captain Adam Orme cancelling out Mark Jones’ opener, Josh Webber and Ioan Evans found the net to secure all three points for Lido.

There was also a 3-1 away win for Llanelli Town, who overcame Pontardawe Town. The Reds took the lead through Adam Robbins, only for Harri Lawson to equalise in the second period. However, goals from Sean Cronin and substitute Brandon Griffiths saw the Reds claim victory.

Cwmbran Celtic and Goytre United played out a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park with the goals coming either side of half-time. Just before the interval, Cameron Harris put the visitors ahead, with Isaac Powell netting a 55th minute equaliser.

Carmarthen Town claimed a vital win as they edged out Cambrian & Clydach Vale. 18-year-old Josh Gibson was the match-winner, as he found the net mid-way through the first-half, to help the Old Gold record back-to-back wins.

There was nothing to separate Llantwit Major and Ammanford at the Windmill Ground, as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw. The visitors took the lead through Jordan Langley, only for Joel Woodington to equalise for Major in the second-half.
