Newly-promoted Mold Alexandra bounced back from the weekend’s heavy defeat in style as they beat Llanidloes Town 4-0 in the JD Cymru North on Tuesday evening.

A goal each by Shaun Tinsley and Steve Watkins, followed by a Callum Freeman brace gave Mike Cunningham’s side an impressive 4-0 victory in their second league fixture of the season.

Fellow newly-promoted side Chrik AAA also claimed their first point of the season, as they shared the spoils with Guilsfield. Jack Orbell opened the scoring for last season’s Lock Stock Ardal Northeast champions before Steven Blenkinsop rescued a point for Guilsfield in added time.

Buckley Town became the only team to maintain their perfect start to the season in their 2-1 victory over Prestatyn Town. Buckley took the lead in the 23rd minute through Keiron Moore before Prestatyn equalised with a Tom Hilditch penalty. Moore then netted his second to claim all three points for his side in the 72nd minute.

Cefn Druids bounced back from their opening weekend defeat to collect three points late on against Ruthin Town. Druids took the lead in the first minute through Thomas Reilly but Jamie Cumming found an equaliser for Ruthin shortly after. Reilly then popped up again in the 91st minute to give Druids their first league victory of the campaign.

Elsewhere, Holyhead Hotspur and Conwy Borough played out a 1-1 draw. Macsen Rhys-Williams opened the scoring for the visitors after 10 minutes, although they were reduced to 10 men when James Phillips was dismissed only two minutes later. Hotspur took advantage of their extra man as they equalised through captain Alex Jones.

Llandudno collected their first victory of the season by convincingly defeating Holywell Town by three unanswered goals. Toby Jones, Marc Williams and Sam Jones were on target for the Seasiders for Sean Eardley’s side, who have now taken four points from their first two games.

While Gresford Athletic claimed a late victory over Porthmadog following their opening weekend defeat. Adam Hesp broke the deadlock in the 93rd minute to give Gresford their first three points of the season.
