Colwyn Bay’s JD Cymru North winning streak was extended to 11 games with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Holyhead Hotspur on Friday evening.

A James Kirby hattrick alongside a Stefan Edwards goal ensured Bay remain three points clear at the top of the league with two games in hand over Llandudno in second.

Llandudno were handed their third league defeat of the season against Ruthin Town on Saturday afternoon. Joshua Jones’ early goal remained unanswered as Ruthin jumped into seventh spot in the league.

Conwy Borough claimed a 1-1 draw against 10-man Chirk AAA. Ryan Davies was dismissed for Chirk in the first half for collecting two yellow cards, before Rhys Edwards put them ahead from the penalty spot. John Littlemore equalised for Conwy Borough in the 70th minute.

Buckley Town recorded their third successive league victory in a 3-1 win over Porthmadog. Daniel Burgess, Jake Roberts and a Nathan Williams own goal put Buckley three ahead while a Meilir Williams goal wasn’t enough to inspire a Porthmadog comeback.

Llanidloes Town equalised twice in their 2-2 draw against Gresford Athletic. George Macready and Ellis Turner both put Gresford ahead on separate occasions with Andrew Evans and Connor Bird drawing level respectively. The draw means Gresford remain two points away from safety.

Cefn Druids claimed their third JD Cymru North win on the bounce with a 2-1 victory over Mold Alexandra. Callum Stephens put Druids ahead before a Steve Watkins equaliser. Adam Stephens’ 78th minute penalty ensured victory for Cefn Druids.

Meanwhile, Guilsfield came back to defeat Penrhyncoch 4-1 despite conceding first. Daniel Owen put Penrhyncoch ahead before a Jamie Hyne brace either side of goals by Callum Bromley and Iwan Matthews helped Guilsfield climb to 10th

In the JD Cymru South, Taffs Well earned an important 2-0 win over Abergavenny Town on Friday evening, as Jordan Carey netted just nine minutes in, before David Lyon’s second-half goal was enough to record their first league victory since August.

There was also a crucial 1-0 win for Pontardawe Town, who edged past Goytre United at Glenhafod Park Stadium. With both sides down to ten men, Tim Georgievsky’s second-half effort proved to be the difference.

A six-goal thriller at Ynys Park Trefelin went the way of the hosts, as Trefelin picked up three points. With the score at 3-2 heading into the final ten minutes, Damon Thomas’ goal was the key moment, which took the game out of the reach of Ammanford.

League leaders Barry Town United continued to impress in the Cymru South, picking up their ninth consecutive league win. Despite falling behind at Cambrian and Clydach Vale, second-half goals from Liam Warman and Jordan Cotterill saw the Linnets record a 2-1 victory.

Llanelli Town reacted well to their heavy defeat to Carmarthen Town last time out, as they picked up a vital 1-0 win at Llantwit Major. The key moment came late-on, as an 87th minute goal from striker Eli Phipps gave the visitors the win.

A brilliant performance from Afan Lido saw them convincingly beat Cwmbran Celtic 4-1, as they put in one of the showings of the weekend. With Lido leading by two goals at the break, Celtic pulled one back, only for substitute Josh Webber to restore the advantage, which was the match’s key moment.

George Sellick put in a fine performance for Swansea University this weekend, who recorded a 2-1 win over Ynyshir Albions. The attacker assisted captain Adam Orme’s opener, before netting the winning goal in the 72nd minute.

Briton Ferry’s Luke Bowen returned to Carmarthen’s Richmond Park to face his former club Carmarthen Town and proved to haunt the Old Gold, as his brilliant hat-trick was the difference between the two sides in a 4-2 win for the Ferry.
