There are no fixtures in the JD Cymru Premier this weekend, but there is still action to enjoy in the second tier. Here are the key games to watch in the JD Cymru North and JD Cymru South.

JD Cymru North – Ruthin Town vs Holywell Town (Friday, 7:30pm)

Ruthin Town brought Llandudno’s five-game winning streak to an end last weekend when Josh Jones’ early goal earned them a 1-0 win over the Seasiders.

Phil Hudson’s side will now aim to break Holywell Town’s streak of 10 consecutive victories, while also trying to win a third game in a row themselves for the first time this season.

The Wellmen are currently third in the JD Cymru North table, three points behind league leaders Colwyn Bay who have played one game less.

Only one point separated these two teams at the end of last season, but Johnny Haseldin’s men how now emerged as one of the division’s best sides.

JD Cymru South – Barry Town United vs Carmarthen Town (Saturday, 2:30pm)

Carmarthen Town will aim to make up ground on JD Cymru South leaders Barry Town United when they travel to Jenner Park.

The Old Gold are fourth in the table and slipped to six points behind Barry following a 4-2 defeat last weekend against Briton Ferry, who leapfrogged them to go second.

The Linnets, now under the stewardship of Lee Kendall, have won their last nine league matches in succession and came from behind to beat Cambrian & Clydach 2-1 last weekend.

These two clubs are the highest scoring sides in the JD Cymru South this season, with Carmarthen leading the way on 34 goals and Barry just behind on 32.

However, there was just one goal in their meeting at Richmond Park in August as Liam Warman struck early on to win the game for Barry.
