Cymru North and Cymru South played out a goalless draw in the UEFA Regions' Cup play-off first leg at Denbigh Town.
Chances in front of goal proved a premium for both sides at Central Park, with the teams unable to cause Cymru North goalkeeper Rob Dascalu or Cymru South shot-stopper Morgan Davies any real issues.
The result means it's all to play for in the second leg, which takes place at Briton Ferry's Llansawel Old Road next Sunday. The winning region will represent Cymru in the intermediate round stage of the UEFA competition in October later this year.
Players from Llanuwchllyn, Holywell Town, Colwyn Bay, Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant, Guilsfield, Holyhead Hotspur and Ruthin Town were named in the Cymru North starting XI by manager Guy Handscombe.
While Pontypridd Town, Swansea University, Llantwit Major and Goytre AFC were all represented in the JD Cymru South starting line-up after being given the nod by Jonathan Jones.
Llantwit Major pair Connor Goldsworthy and Kris Evans combined early on and the latter thought he had opened the scoring for Cymru South when he headed over goalkeeper Rob Dascalu, only to be denied by the offside flag.
The closest Cymru North came to scoring was on the hour mark as Guilsfield's Chris Cathrall found his club team-mate Jamie Hyne, who saw his effort kept out by Cymru South goalkeeper Morgan Davies as the game ended goalless.
Cymru North: Rob Dascalu, Jake Cooke, Dylan Allshorn, Jordan Carrington, Khyam Wyton (Gari Owen 45’), Chris Cathrall, Jamie Cumming, Sam Downey (C) (Cai Roberts 58’), Osian Davies (Callum Parry 32’), Liam Morris, Matt Hill.
Subs not used: Cameron Darling, Meilir Williams, Jake Jones.
Cymru South: Morgan Davies, Vaughn Fowler, Elliott Jones, Kris Evans, Connor Goldsworthy (Matthew Delaney 89’), Nathan Jones, Christian Davies (Adam John 72’), Aiden Lewis (C), Josh Jones, Samuel Johnson, Abubacarr Sama (Lee Baldock 52’).

Tickets for the second leg, which gets under way at 2:30pm on Sunday 15th May in Briton Ferry, can be purchased on the gate.
