The weather once again wreaked havoc with the Cymru South schedule on the weekend.
Four games were called off due to the downpours, while Haverfordwest’s top of the table clash at home to Swansea Uni was postponed on health grounds after an outbreak of mumps hit the visiting side’s squad.
That left three games on, starting with Llanelli’s 1-0 win over Cwmamman United at Stebonheath. Joe Clarke got the winner just before the break to send the Reds level on points at the top with Uni.
Afan Lido beat the elements to get their game on at the Marston’s Stadium, then recorded their fifth win of the season beating Ammanford 2-0. Goals from Sean Hanbury and Kaid Mohamed brought the visitors’ seven game winning run in the league to an end, and saw Lido move up into the top half of the table.
In the final game of the weekend, STM Sports and Cwmbran Celtic shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw in Llanrumney.
