It's all go at Maes Tegid as Bala Town have announced that Cymru 'C' International Goalkeeper Alex Ramsay will become their second signing of the summer transfer window.
The talented shot-stopper will make the switch from Caernarfon Town after spending four seasons at The Oval. The 26-year-old shotstopper came through The New Saints’ youth system before spells at Caersws, Rhyl and Llanelli.
Keeping eight clean sheets for the Canaries last season, Ramsay was called up to the Cymru 'C' squad and has previously appeared for Wales Under-18’s at Semi-Pro level.
Ramsay currently works for Shrewsbury Town as a Youth Development Phase Coach and has his UEFA A Licence.
Speaking about signing Alex, Colin Caton commented:
“I’ve been an admirer of Alex for quite a number of years now, his kicking and talking at the back is going to add a lot to us. I feel that he needs to kick on now, Bala’s going to be a challenge for him and he has to stake the claim for the number one jersey.
"He will be a great addition to us, the information he gives to the back four is second to none. Socially too, I’ve spoken to Alex a lot when I’ve been watching Shrewsbury play and he’s another one that fits the category of a top lad who’s going to join our social side of things. What we look for in lads, Alex ticks all the boxes plus his ability as a goalkeeper, he’s working hard this summer now to get himself fit.
"Welcome onboard Alex.”
