The shortlist for August's Player and Manager of the Month awards in the JD Cymru Leagues has been confirmed.

The fans' vote will be combined with a league and independent voting panel to determine the winners.

JD Cymru Premier

Manager of the Month
Craig Harrison - The New Saints

Marked his first month back in the Park Hall hot seat by taking 10 points from a possible 12, with his side conceding just one goal in the process. It saw the Saints sit top of the pile at the end of August.

Ryan Jenkins - Cardiff Met

It's been an impressive start to life in charge of Cardiff Met for Jenkins, who succeeded Christian Edwards in the summer. He guided the Archers to three wins out of four in August.

Lee Fowler - Flint Town United

Three wins from four helped former Cymru Under-21 midfielder Fowler enjoy a positive start in the Flint Town United hot seat since taking over in the summer window.

Player of the Month
Sam Jones - Cardiff Met

Jones' goal on the opening day against Connah's Quay Nomads was a sign of things to come as he went on to finish August with six goals to his name, with the striker hitting a hat-trick against Aberystwyth Town.

Rhys Kavanagh - Penybont

The former Barry Town United man came back to the JD Cymru Premier in the summer and marked his return with a bang. Kavanagh scored four goals in as many games in August, including a brace in the opening day win against Bala Town.

Keston Davies - The New Saints

The New Saints' impressive defensive record in August was key to their good start to the new season. Davies played in each of their four games in August - and conceded just one goal - as the Saints began their title defence with three clean sheets.

Eliot Evans - Cardiff Met

An impressive start to the season for Evans saw him score three goals and register three assists in the opening five games, helping Cardiff Met finish August in second.

JD Cymru North

Manager of the Month
Steve Evans - Colwyn Bay

Evans made the perfect start to his first full season in charge of Colwyn Bay as the former Cymru international guided his side to maximum points. Four wins out of four saw them sit top at the end of August.

Sean Eardley - Llandudno

Second place was where Llandudno ended the 2021/22 campaign and that's where Eardley's side found themselves again after the opening month. The Seasiders secured four wins out of five.

Steve Monk - Mold Alexandra

Monk has shown his side is more than capable of competing in the second tier if August is anything to go by. The Alex earned three wins from four and finished the month four points off the top.

Player of the Month
James Kirby - Colwyn Bay

Kirby was named in the 2021/22 JD Cymru North Team of the Season for his performances last term and picked up where he left off in August, with the forward netting four goals in as many games.

Tom Hilditch - Prestatyn Town

Five goals in August saw Hilditch finish the second top goalscorer in the JD Cymru North at the end of August. He also registered two assists as Prestatyn signed off the month with three wins and a draw from six games.

Alex Downes - Colwyn Bay

Four goals in as many games to start the new season would be a record that any striker would be happy with, but that's what defender Downes managed. He also kept three clean sheets as Colwyn Bay finished the month at the top.

David Forbes - Holywell Town

He finished as Holywell Town's top scorer last term and enjoyed a good start to the new season by netting three goals in five games in August.

JD Cymru South

Manager of the Month
Andy Hill - Briton Ferry Llansawel

Three wins and two draws from five games in August saw Briton Ferry Llansawel finish at the top of the JD Cymru South table on goal difference.

Craig Sampson - Taffs Well

It was a free-scoring month for Taffs Well, who took 11 points from 15 to end August with their unbeaten record intact. Sampson's side netted 14 goals in five games and finished the month in second.

Scott Young - Cambrian and Clydach Vale

It was an unbeaten month for Cambrian and Clydach Vale as they sealed three wins and two draws to end August joint top of the league.

Player of the Month
Kayne Mclaggon - Barry Town United

He finished 2021/22 as the club's top scorer and picked up where he left off in August with six goals in five games, scoring braces in three games.

Alex Bonthron - Cwmbran Celtic

It was a similar story for Cwmbran Celtic's Bonthron as he also bagged three braces in three consecutive games, helping his side take 10 points from five games in August.

Ryan Prosser - Cambrian and Clydach Vale

August was an impressive month for Cambrian and Clydach Vale and for their striker Prosser on a personal level. He scored in each of their four games in August, finishing the month with five goals to his name.

Alex Gammond - Briton Ferry Llansawel

Led by example throughout August as Briton Ferry Llansawel went the month unbeaten, with three wins and two draws from five games. Gammond helped them keep three clean sheets in the process.
