The final two clubs to be promoted to the JD Cymru Leagues for the 2023/24 season will be decided by the Ardal Leagues play-off finals this weekend.

Caersws (Ardal North East champions) and Denbigh Town (Ardal North West champions) have already been promoted to the JD Cymru North, while Abertillery Bluebirds (Ardal South East champions) and Caerau Ely (Ardal South West champions) are going up to the JD Cymru South.

At 7:45pm on Friday 26 May, Ardal South East runners-up Risca United and Ardal South West runners-up Baglan Dragons will face off at The Bont Playing Fields, home of Penydarren BGC. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Risca are hoping to make an immediate return to the JD Cymru South after relegation from tier two last season, while Baglan Dragons have never played in the second tier before and are targeting back-to-back promotions.

At 12:30pm on Saturday 27 May, Ardal North East runners-up Cefn Albion meet Ardal North West runners-up Bangor 1876 at Prestatyn Town’s Bastion Gardens. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and free for under 12s. It will be cash only on the turnstiles.

Having both been founded in the last decade, the teams are two of the newer clubs in the Welsh domestic system and neither have played in the second tier before. For Bangor 1876, it will be an opportunity to achieve promotion for the second consecutive year.
